Official statistics is a key component of description and comparison of economic performance in regional countries. It covers different subject areas such as economic, demographic, social, finance, and others. Statistical indicators provide an overview of social, demographic and economic development of member countries. These enable drawing comparisons between economies on regional scale. In some members, Central Banks and relevant ministries, including Ministries of Economy, Finance and Development avail statistical functions also. All these producers of official statistics in ECO members form their respective statistical systems.
Even after official statistics has been published, it is often revised. Therefore, the data may be exposed to several revised data postings. Posting of dataset records, including initial real-time data estimates, and subsequent data revisions for macroeconomic series will be continuously updated.
