Following its Inaugural Meeting which was held in Ankara on July 25-26, 2011, the 3rd ECO Eminent Persons Group (EPG) has been successfully launched. In keeping with its mandated, the 3rd EPG would, in the main, review the performance of the Organization and suggest ways and means to enhance ECO’s dynamism, efficiency and visibility.
By way of background, the 11th ECO Summit held on 23rd Dec, 2010 in Istanbul had decided to constitute an Eminent Persons Group (EPG) comprising eminent personalities from the ECO Member States with a view to render ECO a vibrant and effective regional organization.
