The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Bagdad Amreyev, presented his credentials to the ECO Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Yahya Maroofi at the ECO Headquarters on April 28, 2011.
The Secretary General congratulated the Ambassador on his new assignment in Tehran and The Secretary General appreciating constructive and active role of Kazakhstan in ECO assured the Ambassador of his full cooperation. The Secretary General gave an overview of the bilateral and multilateral activities of Organization.The future meetings of Organization which will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan were also discussed.
The Deputy Secretary Generals for Trade & Investment and Transport & Communications also briefed the Ambassador about the activities of ECO in field of the Container Train Project, the co-operation between Post Offices in the ECO Region and ECO Trade and Development Bank’s membership.
