Ministry of Energy, Renewable Energy Organization (SUNA) of the Islamic Republic of Iran in cooperation with ECO Secretariat hosted these events. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Iran (host), Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkey, as well as representative of the UNIDO were participated in the events.
The main purposes of these events were to discuss latest developments, implementation of the related activities, as well as exchange of views on the implementation of the ECO Plan of Action on RSE. The events also discussed future regional cooperation among ECO countries and future regional cooperation among ECO countries in the field of RSE.
Visiting to the 11th International Electricity Industry and sightseeing tour to the historical place in Tehran were also organized for the participants on 27 October, 2011.
Meeting appreciated the offer of the Republic of Azerbaijan to host the 2nd Meeting of ECO Expert Group on RSE and 3rd Workshop on RSE in Baku in 2012.
