The Ambassador of Slovak Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Mr. Anton Hajduk, paid a courtesy call on the Secretary General on February 3, 2010. H.E. Mr. Anton Hajduk and the Secretary General discussed the global financial crisis. H.E. Mr. Anton Hajduk expressed his appreciation for the role ECO assumed on the reconstruction efforts for Afghanistan. They also exchanged views on the regional issues.
The Ambassador was informed about ECO projects particularly in the sector of Transportation. The Ambassador explained his country’s long tradition in the field of railway transportation and their capacities to cooperate with ECO. Both sides decided to maintain close contact for the cooperation particularly, on transportation issues having crucial role for the interaction between remote regions.
