The Fifth OIC Ministerial Conference on Food Security and Agricultural Development was held in Khartom on October 28, 2010. The Secretary General in his statement to the Meeting informed the participants about ECO Regional Programme for Food Security (RPFS) prepared with the technical assistance of FAO. The Secretary General also underscored its cooperation with the General Secretariat of OIC and its subsidiary and specialized institutions for attaining all round prosperity and wellbeing of people in the years to come.
The Secretary General during his stay in Khartom had bilateral meetings on mutual cooperation with the Minister of Agriculture of Sudan, H.E. Mr. Abdel-Halim Ismail Al-Muaafi and the Secretary General of OIC, H.E. Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu of Turkey.
