The Head of Liaison Office of UNAMA in Iran, H.E. Mr. Bruce Koepke, called on the ECO Secretary General, H.E. Mr. M. Yahya Maroofi, on Monday January 10, 2011 to discuss the outcomes of the 19th COM and the 11th ECO Summit held in Istanbul on December 2011, and its ramification on the future activities and programms of ECO, as a regional body.
H.E Mr. Koepke, further, informed the ECO Secretary General that the Special Representative of Secretary-General of United Nations to Afghanistan, H.E. Mr. Staffan De Mistura, will shortly visit Iran. They agreed on holding a meeting between the ECO Secretary General and the SRS of UN to discuss cooperation between UNAMA and ECO.
