A training Workshop on Best Practices by Turkish Small and Medium Industry Development Organization (KOSGEB) was held on 13-15 October, 2009, in Ankara. The workshop was organized by the Government of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Small and Medium Industry Development Organization (KOSGEB) and the ECO Secretariat. The representatives from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan and Turkey participated in the event. The goal of the workshop was to exchange the knowledge on the SMEs and to see the best practices of Turkey with respect to SMEs. The representatives briefed the participants on the issue of SMEs in their respective countries and expressed their views on the SME development. The workshop helped the participants to access new ideas regarding incentives in SME development and exchange information.
