The 3rd Meeting of the Railway Committee of the Transit Transport Coordination Council (TTCC) was held in Astana, on November 5, 2009, with the participation of delegations from all the ECO Member States, achieving full quorum. The representatives of the ECO Secretariat as well as delegations from IDB, OTIF, ADB, and UNESCAP attended the Meeting.
The Meeting considered various subjects related to implementation of the transit trade related provisions of the TTFA, including finalization of Railway Transit Route Map, Preparation of draft ECO rules of use of wagons and rules and procedures for international rail passenger and freight traffic, including damages to wagons and freight, and tariffs, completion of questionnaires on the status of railway transport in the member states, operation of the ECO Container Trains on different routes, development of Railway infrastructure in the region.
