The 2nd Meeting of Transit Trade Committee of Transit Transport Coordination Council (TTCC) was held in Astana, on November 4, 2009, with the participation of delegations of nine Member States, namely Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The representatives of the ECO Secretariat as well as delegations from UNESCAP, IDB, ADB and OTIF also attended the meeting.
The Meeting considered various subjects related to implementation of the transit trade related provisions of the TTFA, including implementation of the TIR Convention 1975, establishment of customs transit system in the ECO region, simplification and harmonization of customs procedures and documents, customs duties, taxes and other levies and charges on the vehicles in transit traffic, establishment of National Inter-ministerial Committees for Border-Crossing Facilitation and Promotion of International Transport.
