New Ambassador of Afghanistan presented his credentials to ECO Secretary General

            Mr. Mohammad Umer Daudzai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran called on Mr. Askhat Orazbay, Secretary General ECO on 13^th September 2005 at the Secretariat and presented his Credentials accrediting him as the Permanent Representative of his country to the Secretariat of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

            During the ceremony arranged for the purpose, the Ambassador renewed the political commitment of his country to ECO for realization of the common objectives and goals of the organization.

            In response, Mr. Askhat Orazbay, Secretary General ECO welcomed the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and expressed hope that the Afghanistan will play an active role in the activities of the Organization and assured him of his full cooperation and support for implementation of ECO projects and programmes for reconstruction of Afghanistan.
