Felicitation messages of the ECO Secretary General

to the Presidents-Elect of

the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kyrgyz Republic

Mr. Askhat Orazbay, Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) sent felicitation messages to H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and H.E. Mr. Kurmanbek Bakiyev on their election as Presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kyrgyz Republic respectively.

In  his  letter,  the  ECO  Secretary  General  stated  that their election would bring progress, prosperity, peace and development to the people of their countries.

He further stated that it was a matter of immense satisfaction that the Economic Cooperation Organization enjoyed full support of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kyrgyz Republic and he believed that it would be further enhanced to the advantage and  benefit  of  the  people  of  this  region  during  their  regimes.

He expressed his confidence that the relations of Iran and Kyrgyzstan with the ECO Member States would also strengthen under the able leadership of H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and H.E. Mr. Kurmanbek Bakiyev.

He also conveyed his best wishes for their health, happiness and well-being as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of both countries.
