The ECO family of nations is heir to one of greatest legacies in the history of mankind. This day serves to remind us of the immense promise that ECO holds for further economic and cultural integration of this great region and its peoples.

The admirable successes the Organization has scored in recent years engender confidence in its ability to measure up to its promise, and confront the trans-national challenges of the twenty first century.
