I feel great pleasure in extending to ECO Secretariat and the ECO family of nations, warm felicitations on the occasion of the sixteenth anniversary of the expansion of the Organization.

ECO is the embodiment of centuries old ties of culture, common faith and civilization that link its Member States in an imperishable bond of kinship. It is also a manifestation of our common desire for a brighter and more prosperous future for our peoples.

I take this opportunity to reiterate Pakistan’s abiding commitment to the Organization and its objectives. Pakistan will continue to accord high priority to successful fruition of ECO’s agenda and programmes, and play its due role for promoting regional integration within ECO framework.

I wish ECO every success in its noble endeavours.
