I have the pleasure to express my heartiest congratulations on the occasion of the ECO Day.

This day commemorates the highest decision of the founding states to respond to the urgent need for cooperation and conformity towards the utilization of the natural and human capacities as well as exchange of experiences for the development and the economic prosperity of the people of the member states.

I believe that the implementation of the joint decisions of the Organization will accelerate the identification of economic and social priorities of the ECO region and the appreciation of the role of ECO and its members in the commercial and economic spheres beyond the region and worldwide.

The ECO, under your leadership have made great achievements in various fields.

I assure that the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will continue to cooperate with the Secretariat of the Organization and all the member states towards the full realization of its aims and objectives.
