It is my pleasure to extend our warm felicitations on the occasion of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Day 28th of November.

The need to address challenges brought by globalization has urged nations of the globe to move closer towards forming an integrated and interdependent world market. From this point of view, we highly value cooperation within the framework of the ECO built on the constructive work of the member states. Our cooperation within the ECO backed by historical, cultural and traditional ties existing among the Member States have created a favorable ground for its further deepening and upgrading to a qualitatively new level.

Azerbaijan firmly believes in the potential of the ECO, which is able to make substantial contribution towards strengthening economic, cultural and social links within and sustainable development in the region, and is determined to serve with other member states to the realization of this potential in order to secure the development of the Organization. At the same time we also assign high importance to the stability and security of our region as they are crucial issues for further strengthening of ongoing cooperation.

Availing myself of this opportunity, I would like to wish you all the best in your endeavors in capacity of the Secretary General of the ECO, as well as to the Organization further success to fulfill its purposes and objectives.
