Dear Askhat,

            It is my pleasure to extend our warm congratulations on the occasion of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Day 28^th of November.

            We highly value cooperation within the framework of ECO built on the constructive work of the member states, common interest of the parties in development of the region, friendly relations and a sense of historical responsibility create a favorable ground for further deeper involvement into activities of the ECO, which is steadily gaining importance on the international arena.

            Azerbaijan is interested in development of the ECO cooperation in the field of transport, communication, energy and agriculture and is determined to contribute toward attainment of tangible results in these areas.  At the same time we believe that issues of safeguarding peace, security and stability are important for further cooperation among the ECO member states and for that reason due attention should be paid to these matters.

            We are confident that under your leadership, the Secretariat will continue to play its role as a mechanism for strengthening the ECO and fulfilling the purposes and objectives of the organization.
