Excellency,

          This is my honor that on my own behalf and also on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to congratulate your Excellency and your colleagues at the Secretariat, on the occasion of the 28 of November, the ECO Day. I am sure that under your wise leadership and guidance the organization would be able to promote its role in strengthening the economic-regional cooperation and development among the Member States, as well as realizing the main goals of organization.

          We strongly believe that ECO region with vast natural and human resources and the good intention to realize the main goals of the organization, is able to tackle with global and regional challenges.

          Afghanistan is proud to have hosted the recent meeting of the ECO Member States and this shows that Afghanistan, like other Member States would like to play its effective role in common activities of the organization.

          Once more I would like to reiterate and stress the support of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the realization of the organization’s goal in line with the principles and policies of the organization.

          I avail myself of the opportunity to renew to your Excellency and the Directing board of ECO the assurances of my highest consideration and I wish you the best of health and success to be gifted by Allah the almighty.
