Excellency,

            It is a great pleasure for me to congratulate you on the Day of Economic Cooperation Organization.

            In the era of globalization when the world is changing rapidly, the regional cooperation is aimed at promoting the development of national economies and contributing to their integration into world economic system. Strengthening of multilateral relations will expand the regional economic cooperation and increase the life standards of our people.

            Today the ECO is steadily following the pace of progress, enhancing the economic integration and cooperation on the basis of equality, mutual benefits and shared economic interests. The 8^th ECO Summit of Dushanbe while formulating new principles of the implementation of the Organization’s strategy, reiterated the importance of intensive and urgent measures to be taken by the Member States in order to encourage the modernization, growth and development in the region and to ensure its sustainable socio-economic development in the near future.

            May I express my confidence that under Your Excellency’s able guidance the Organization will achieve considerable success in realizing its goals and objectives. I am convinced that your organizational talent will give new impetus to our cooperation within ECO framework.
