Dear Mr. Secretary General,

            It is my pleasure to extend to you our warmest congratulation on the occasion of Economic Cooperation Organization Day, 28^th of November.

            The more active and task-oriented approach of Member States to cooperation within the ECO is an important element in facilitating multilateral economic and trade cooperation and thus, contribution to further development of the region.  For the years past, the relationship between the members of ECO was built on the solid foundation of mutual trust and a sense of historical responsibility to the fate of our countries and peoples.

            Azerbaijan attaches importance to peace, security and stability in ECO region and beyond for the successful implementation of regional projects and programmes.
 

            Availing myself to this opportunity, allow me to wish you and to your staff every success in all your undertakings. We are confident that under your able leadership the Secretariat will continue to play its important role in promoting cooperation within the ECO.
